6 Michigan State Scholarship and Grants You Can Apply To.

The Michigan Department of Treasury brings to the knowledge of the students the available scholarships sponsored by the State. The state government made it known that Michigan Student aid works closely with the government to inform and educate students and parents about the financial aid available for them to complete their education. Many of these scholarships are for the tuition and some necessary fees and they are paid directly into the institution account on the behalf of the beneficiary. Below are the lists of available scholarships.


1.Fostering Futures Scholarship (FFS) – This is a scholarship programme for the young adults who have experienced foster care in Michigan. And the funds are also paid directly to the institution for the needs of a student.

2.Michigan Competitive Scholarship (MCS) – This one for students who want to pursue their undergraduate degrees at an approved Michigan higher institution. They must show their financial need and their SAT score to be able to access this scholarship.

3.Police Officer’s and Firefighter’s Survivor Tuition Grant (STG) – This grant is available for the children and spouses of the officers of the police and fire brigades in Michigan who died in the line of duty. It will serve as a waiver for the beneficiaries to continue their education in Michigan public higher institutions.

4.Children of Veterans Tuition Grant (CVTG) – This is an undergraduate tuition assistance that pays up to 4 academic years in the sum of $11,200 and they are for the children of the disabled, died, veteran children.

5.Michigan Tuition Grant (MTG) – This scholarship type is for the undergraduate students, and it is available to the non-profit degree higher institutions in Michigan and it will be available to the student on request.

6.Tuition Incentive Program (TIP) – This program helps eligible students to complete high school by granting them tuition assistance for an associate degree in college and beyond. Medicaid eligibility history is compulsory and must apply before the high school graduation.
